The Maryland Science Center offers free admission to students in grades K-12. Any Maryland school kid attending the Science Center on a school field trip has been admitted free of charge for over forty years. A field trip to the Science Center is a rite of passage for many Marylanders.
This is an extremely interactive museum. I'd say the majority of the exhibits are aimed towards children aged 5 to 12. We were there for around 2.5 hours and certainly didn't see everything, but we spent a lot of time at the Dinos and on the third floor. It's a little costly, but then again, so are most museums.
Is it possible for me to dine inside the building? On our show floors, no eating or drinking is permitted. At this time, we have made the choice to stop serving food. Elements Café will be open for seating for individuals who bring their own food and beverages, as well as selling for our visitors.
