The Loch Raven Reservoir is a reservoir in Baltimore, Maryland, that supplies drinking water to the city and much of Baltimore County. It has a capacity of 23 billion US gallons of water and is fed by the Big Gunpowder Falls river.
Loch Raven Reservoir, in addition to picnic spaces and hiking routes, is a great place to go fishing, and small fishing boats may be rented. Swimming is not permitted in the reservoir since it provides drinking water.

Year-round, from sunrise to sunset. The cost is nothing. On weekends, Loch Raven Drive between Providence Road and Dulaney Valley Road is closed. Bicyclists and walk-ins are also welcome.
