On October 6, 2006, the new swinging bridge was completed. It is located in the Avalon area, at the end of the new Grist Mill Trail, which crosses the Patapsco River and connects to Ilchester Road.


How long is Patapsco State Park's Grist Mill Trail?

The new leg extends the Grist Mill Trail to a distance of five miles, bringing the total number of paved pathways in the park to slightly more than 2 1/2 miles.
